Refunds and cancellation

The desk, the parser, the model, the memo, the Excel workbook, Confidential Mode, saved deals and share links are open to everyone. There are no accounts, so no code path anywhere in the product checks whether a person has subscribed before running a feature. Nobody needs a subscription to underwrite a deal on Underwrite, and nobody loses a feature by canceling one. That is a statement about the software as it stands, not a promise about the undecided offer: if what a subscription buys turns out to be paid software access, this clause and clause 03 are rewritten before it is sold, not after.

Write to ali@getunderwrite.com and say you want to stop. That is the cancellation route. It is answered by a person, not a form, and there is nothing to return.

There is no self-service customer portal: a portal needs an account, and Underwrite has no accounts. The confirmed support channel is PENDINGSupport contact. Which address or channel is the official support contact for a paying subscriber, and is it ali@getunderwrite.com or something else?

A Stripe receipt may also carry a cancellation link. That is not verified: the test-mode subscription lifecycle has not been run, so no delivered receipt has been inspected. Until a receipt has been read, the address above is the route known to work.

Nothing switches off: no feature depends on a subscription, so you keep the software as you had it. Your deals are in your own browser and the workbooks and memos you exported are on your own machine, so there is nothing held on Underwrite servers to lose access to and nothing to export before you go.

The subscription record itself is kept as a business record. It is not covered by the usage-event deletion window; ask at the support address to have it removed. The detail is at /privacy.

If a subscription buys defined founder support, a refund is about work delivered in a period; if it buys software access, it is about access during a period. The refund rules differ, so the refund policy cannot be written until this is answered.

There is no refund policy in force, and none is drafted here. Nothing can be sold until the founder approves one, and the payment code enforces that: an unresolved refund policy is one of the conditions that keep live checkout closed.

Tax treatment on a refund follows the tax treatment of the sale, which is PENDINGTax treatment. Is the subscription price tax inclusive or tax exclusive, and who remits any sales tax or VAT?

A card dispute is a separate route that runs through your card issuer and the card network rather than through Underwrite, and its outcome is not Underwrite's to decide.

Consumer law in some places sets refund and cancellation rights that override whatever a seller writes. Which of those apply cannot be stated before the jurisdictions are, which is why that fact blocks checkout too. The full terms are at /terms.
